IÂ am very happy to report my Ulduar group had several new successes this week.

The first was a success of speed.  Flame Leviathan, Razorscale, ignis, XT, Council of Iron, Kologarn, Auriaya, Hodir, Thorim, and Freya were all defeated in a single ~ four hour session. That is a new record for our group and it we ended the night with Mimiron’s trash cleared.

The next night, the real progression night, started out with a huge victory for us; one shotting Mimiron. He had been my nemesis stopping our progress cold for the last several weeks, but that night he was a no trouble at all. All the practice we did the week before paid off and we did a great job of staying alive. It was so exciting for us!

Then we moved forward to face “The General”.  It took our group a few attempts to realized we simply did not have enough ranged DPS with us, and then a few more attempts after a swap of characters to figure out how we had to face the encounter. But in the end, on the 16th attempt, we ended the night standing over the corpse of General Vezax.

We made progress and faced new challenges, which for me makes a great run. One that sadly did not include any new upgrades for me. It was really funny since our raid composition ,which included 3 priests, 1 lock, and 2 pallys, made it so we had six people rolling on our tier tokens.

Between ulduar and Nax I did collect a bunch of Valor emblems, which I can use to buy… Oh wait there is nothing I can buy with them. *sigh*  Again I am reminded of the fact that blizzard has failed on managing the emblems.

*shrug* I am not going to let that get me down. Nope. We made progress this week. Real, measurable progress. Now I hope next week, after we cycle a few people in, that we can do as well as this week.
