I think if I see one more news story about people out shopping, I will have to check in to an institution. Seriously today was one of the slowest news days, and with so many news shows on TV, they were having a hard time filling the time. Oh well, I guess no news is good news.<\/p>\n
I am still ever so slowly playing Neverwinter Nights 2, and as far as I can tell its only getting better. On the Dev side of things Obsidian released a beta patch on Wednesday, which was a very nice thanksgiving surprise. While there are some bugs with the patch, and some people are unhappy that their “pet issue” is not being addressed, overall I think the patch is a huge improvement. So far in less than one month, they have released 1 full patch, 1 critical patch and 1 full beta patch; that’s a lot of work in a short period of time. Which goes a long way to building up your community.<\/p>\n
Of course they could have just waited a month and released the game with all this patches rolled in, and they would have had a much more polished game. But reality stinks and sometimes you have to just go with what you have. <\/p>\n
