Warlords, Dragonborn, and birthdays

First a few important notes:

  1. I need to say Happy Birthday to my Daughter; today she is two years old. It has been any amazing couple of years, and I pray that I can be blessed by her for many, many more.
  2. Moonsand <>
  3. Apparently I cannot function on 4 hours of sleep for several days in a row like I did in college.

On the Warcraft front, my priest did get her tailoring leveled all the way up to 375 and has crafted her primal mooncloth set. So scratch that off my list of things to do:

  1. buy epic flying mount for quin: DONE
  2. at least revered with all outland factions
  3. Craft primal mooncloth set: DONE
  4. skill enchanting up to 375
  5. Get kara key
  6. Get arcatraz key: DONE
  7. Get lots and lots of badges (I know not a very quantifiable goal)
  8. Get gear to get my +healing up as close as I can to 2000

I have been sort of taking it easy in WoW lately because one of my normal playing friends has been unable to play, and because I have been prepping for my new D&D game.

Fourth Edition is only days away from being official release, and my gift set of books should be here next week. Though through the internet I have been able to view an early release of the books, and help get myself ready to jump in and play.

From what I have read thus far, I am very impressed. How all these new rules actually work out in actual play will the real test, but it does look like the designers tried hard to make the player characters feel like Heroes. Yes, there are a few things that I feel are either completely missing, sort of light on, or feel a bit broken, but I am willing to give it a real attempt before I start writing house rules.

My big concern right now is the number of players I have (7), and our ability to consistently play. Since most of us work at the same place and our deliverable schedule is going to be fairly heavy these next six months, and we will have to put the game on hold for a couple of weeks or more at a time. That by itself would be ok, but I fear that in the non-crunch weeks we do have that players will have schedule conflicts pushing the game out even longer.

Lucky for me I enjoy the preparation to play as much as playing.
