The wind’s name

I recently enjoyed reading The Name of the Wind, By Patrick Rothfuss. In some ways its a fairly standard fantasy novel, well really the first chapter in a larger tale, but in other ways it turns standard fantasy cliches on their head; starting with its changing perspective.

The books starts off in third person but then jumps into first person when the main character tells the story of his past story. But the action does not stay in the past or first person, nope it periodically jumps back to the ‘present’ and third person. The action in both the past and present are compelling, and I eagerly await to see what happens in both tales.

There are plenty of places on the web for detailed summaries and reviews, so instead I will just say thumbs up.

Now for a wow update:

  • buy epic flying mount for quin: DONE
  • at least revered with all outland factions: DONE
Only need the minor ones: Netherwing, Ogrila, and Sporeggar
  • Craft primal mooncloth set: DONE
  • skill enchanting up to 375: DONE
  • Get kara key DONE
  • Get arcatraz key: DONE
  • Get lots and lots of badges: Ongoing, but I really only need the 160 badge mace
  • Get gear to get my +healing up as close as I can to 2000: Done

For Quinora, I have pretty much met all my goals. Yay!

So now I have moved onto playing around with dual boxing. I started by spending my game budget on a second account and a couple of months of play time. On the new account I now have a level ~20 rogue and Druid, with which I can pair up with some of my level 20ish characters on my main account.

It is an interesting experience trying to controll two characters at one time, and has become a game in itself. This new game , is a blast to play and has extended my wow interest. If anyone reads this and wants to try dual boxing, you should check out www.hotkeynet.com , for a nice keypress broadcasting application.
