Its never winter at night

Yes I missed posting yesterday, but I have a good reason. I finally got some time to sit down and play a bit of Neverwinter Nights 2. I am not that far into the game, but so far its fairly enjoyable. I do have some issues with it, like wishing there was an autopause option like Baldur’s Gate had, but mostly its DnD3.5 goodness.

I would actually be a bit farther in the game but I started over. I almost always start playing RPGs as a thief/rogue type character and did so with this game. Sadly though one of the first NPCs you encounter is a rogue also, and the other early NPC is a fighter (who wants to be a monk). With no healing or spell casting I felt my party was a bit unbalanced. So I decided that instead of marching forward with my melee heavy group until a healing NPC arrived, that I would start over with my character as a cleric.

Conclusion so far: Clerics = Super.
The reason: Daily limits on abilities are meaningless in the game. Just rest and everything refreshes. I am sure this applies to other classes as well, but having the ability to buff my party, heal during combat, and ‘turn’ hordes of undead, makes me feel so powerful.

I will post more comments later as I progress through the game. This was definitely worth my money.
