This week World of Warcraft’s first expansion, The Burning Crusade, was released. The servers for the most part, handled the release and the new content has drawn me in . Yes, I went to the store at 11:40 to wait in line and pick up my copy at midnight. Then yes, I stayed up far to late playing a new Blood Elf character. And yes, I have spent way too much time this week thinking about and playing the game.
Several of my friend and I all started new horde characters on a fairly new PVPRP server, and it has been a blast. Since I have never played a horde character past level 8 pretty much all the content is new to me, and with the pvprp rules the attitude on the server is also new to me. So far I am really enjoying things.
On the down side the two other servers I play on are full, full, full. To the point that blizzard is trying to get people to switch off voluntarily, before they force a split of the servers. On Bronzebeard I am not concerned to much, I will move my characters to wherever the Guild moves, Argent Dawn is a another story. I have met so many people, and while I do not play regularly there anymore, I would like the people I am familiar with to still be around. Alas I know of no concerted effort to keep people together. In the end I will move where my close friends move.
While not related to the computer game, the WoW tcg is still being played around the office. While I know of a bunch of people playing the game, I seem to have very little time to actually get matches with people. Its all about when there is free time to play, and I so wish the game existed in the electronic online format, and all the money I spent on the game was there. Then I could find players any time of day. Oh well.
